When it does not get done before the visit, the front desk quotes a number from memory and the patient learns the real one on a statement. What the work is
An agent that runs the next day’s schedule against each payor’s breakdown, records deductible met, remaining maximum, waiting periods, frequency limitations and downgrade rules per patient, and posts the result to the chart before the morning huddle. That is not a limitation of the software. It is the line the reference design draws on purpose, and a vendor who offers to move it is selling you something else.
