Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of whereai, a free macOS desktop application created by ArkOne. By downloading or using whereai, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the application.

2. What whereai does

whereai is a free macOS desktop application that:

• Reads Claude Code session files (.jsonl) stored locally on your device by the Claude Code CLI
• Calculates estimated token usage and costs based on published model pricing
• Optionally sends aggregated usage summaries to the Anthropic Claude API for AI-powered workflow recommendations

whereai requires the Claude Code CLI to be installed and in use on the same machine. whereai has no affiliation with Anthropic and is not a substitute for Claude Code.

3. Intellectual property

All content, design, and software in whereai — including source code, UI design, trademarks, and the "whereai" name — are the intellectual property of ArkOne. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, translate, or create derivative works from the application without express written permission from ArkOne.

4. Your data

whereai reads local files on your device created by the Claude Code CLI. ArkOne does not access, collect, or store your session data except as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the security of your device and the data on it.

5. Third-party services

The optional AI Analysis feature uses the Anthropic Claude API. Use of this feature is subject to Anthropic's Terms of Service and Anthropic's Privacy Policy. ArkOne is not responsible for how Anthropic handles data sent via API calls you initiate.

6. Cost estimates

Token counts and cost estimates displayed by whereai are approximations based on locally parsed session files and publicly available model pricing. They may not exactly match your Anthropic billing. Do not rely solely on whereai for financial decisions — always verify with your Anthropic usage dashboard.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The application is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. ArkOne does not warrant that whereai will be error-free, uninterrupted, accurate, or fit for any particular purpose. You use the application at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ArkOne shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of or inability to use whereai, including any financial loss resulting from reliance on cost estimates.

9. Updates and termination

ArkOne may update, modify, or discontinue whereai at any time without notice. ArkOne may cease providing the application and terminate its availability at any time. Upon termination, your right to use whereai ends.

10. Changes to these terms

ArkOne may update these terms at any time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date. Continued use of whereai after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
