How do companies use AI to make performance reviews less biased and less painful?
CHRO · Professional services firm, 1,800 staff·Asked Mar 27, 2026·162 views
Our annual performance review process is universally disliked — by managers who find it time-consuming, by employees who find the feedback vague and sometimes inconsistent, and by me because I can see patterns that suggest bias in written feedback. I'm interested in AI as a lever to improve the quality and fairness of the process, but I'm nervous about AI in anything that affects pay and career progression. What have other CHROs implemented and what are the limits they've set on AI involvement?
